The Making of "A Sonnet For Freedom"

Step #1
drawing the conceptual sketches:
Sketches are always essential, because define the aspect of my characters as i've seen in my mind, here i let you the quick sketches i did to create this poster.

Step #2
making the collage of previous sketches:

After a scanning process, i put all my sketches drawings in the desk of my vector software (freehand version 11.0 in my case) and i did a quick collage to make the composition of the final poster.

Step #3
starting with the vectorizing process:

One by one, i'm begin to vectorize my characters, first in a phase of black and white and with plain tones, the color version is done after that.

Step #4
the color process:

The final part is the color process, takes a bit more time because all details, effects and palette colors used, when the artwork is completed, i export the file to PSD to create the final outcome in .JPG file that normally i upload here.

Step #5
exporting the final file to photoshop:

Just a final export to Photoshop to create a HD image of 300dpi, some color variations to saturate a bit the color palette, a soft vintage filter in a 35% of lens transparency and the final outcome!.. =D
